Fab Operations Executive
Dr. Theo Standaert is Head of Fab Operations for Anderon. He is responsible for manufacturing, process development, and integration to produce the world’s most advanced 300mm quantum wafers. He leads the end-to-end execution of 300mm wafer fabrication operations, driving manufacturing excellence, and the scaling of advanced quantum computing hardware.
Throughout his career, Dr. Standaert has led the development and manufacturing of advanced semiconductor technologies spanning logic, interconnect, lithography, memory, and quantum applications. Over more than two decades at IBM, he held a broad range of technical and operational leadership roles advancing manufacturable silicon wafer process technologies for IBM and its development partners.
He played a key role in overcoming technical challenges associated with enabling the manufacture of advanced interconnect and FinFET transistor technologies and later led teams responsible for advancing extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography for the 7nm technology node, magnetoresistive random-access memory (MRAM), and 300mm semiconductor manufacturing operations.
Most recently, Dr. Standaert led advanced semiconductor manufacturing initiatives for quantum computing, overseeing 300mm semiconductor manufacturing operations that supported the development and scaling of quantum hardware technologies.
Dr. Standaert holds a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University at Albany, SUNY. He has authored numerous publications and presentations on semiconductor technology.
